Felix Morsdorf and Kurt Bollmann's study will work towards linking the functional traits maps of Lägern forest with field measured diversity of other taxa within the foodweb. They will explore how the mechanisms by which variation in structural and physiological forest attributes alter biodiversity and multi-trophic interactions as well as network stability and ecosystem functioning of temperate broad-leaf mixed forests.
