Davos Congress Centre, Switzerland 26.6.2022 – 01.7.2022

The sec­ond World Bio­di­ver­si­ty Fo­rum took place 26 June - 1 Ju­ly 2022, at Davos Con­gress Cen­tre, Switzer­land. Un­der the theme In­spi­ra­tion for Ac­tion, it brought to­geth­er re­searchers across all dis­ci­plines of bio­di­ver­si­ty sci­ence with prac­ti­tion­ers and so­ci­etal ac­tors in a fo­rum that of­fered in­spi­ra­tion and ex­am­ples for ac­tions and so­lu­tions to con­serve bio­di­ver­si­ty, and set us on a path to­wards trans­for­ma­tion for sus­tain­abil­i­ty. At the end of the con­fer­ence, par­tic­i­pants adopt­ed a con­fer­ence res­o­lu­tion.

More than 500 par­tic­i­pants came to Davos, about 150 par­tic­i­pants joined the hy­brid event on-line. Find a pro­gramme overview here. Videos of ple­nary talks and se­lect­ed de­bates will be made avail­able short­ly.

The next World Bio­di­ver­si­ty Fo­rum will take place 15 - 21 June 2024, once again in Davos.
