Registration and room reservation procedure

PLEASE NOTE:

Registration will open on 1 January  2019 and will close on the 30 April 2019. Due to space constraints at Monte Verita, the symposium will be limited to 120 participants. To participate, apply by mail with abstract and letter of motivation to Debra Zuppinger-Dingley. A select number of abstracts will be chosen and those authors will be notified about the registration process. We recommend that you apply early to guarantee your place.

Registration is done in a 2-step process.

Step 1:  Registration for the conference, and payment of the registration fees (payable with credit card)

Conference fee: CHF 200, this covers the registration fee.

ETH Zurich collects the registration fees a collecting agent for the University of Zurich URPP Global Change and Biodiversity, and does not provide own services. 

Please note: Registration and registration payment need to be done in one go - you can not go back to your registration and pay at a later time.

Once registration is completed and registration fees are paid, you will receive 2 emails:

1. Email generated by the Credit Card Service Provider SaferPay, confirming payment

2. Email generated by the CSF platform, containing a unique conference code

You require this code to book your meals on the webpage of Hotel and Conference Centre Monte Verità. 

Step 2: Payment of meals for the duration of the conference 

Please have your unique conference code available for this step. 

This covers meals at the conference venue, i.e. all meals (lunches, dinners and coffee breaks). Cost for these meals is CHF 362 for the duration of the conference. 

A number of rooms have been reserved in a hotel at conference rates in the town of Ascona (Hotel Luna). It is 7 minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot (uphill!) to get to Monte Verità. Please contact Cornelia Krug before 30. Mai 2019 if you are interested in staying there.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation must be communicated by email to the organizers. The date of the email counts as cancellation date. Refunds are possible as follows:
Registration Fees - NOT refundable
Conference and Full Board Fees -
- up to 3 months prior to the beginning of the conference: 70% refundable
- from 3 months prior to the beginning of the conference: NOT refundable
- no show without cancellation notice: no refund.
Refunds will be sent after the conference via electronic bank transfer (you will be contacted to provide your bank details). The congress organizers cannot accept any liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage to property belonging to conference participants (or their accompanying persons), either during, or as a result of, the congress.
Registration or accommodation fees do not include insurance.
By registering and paying your fees, you accept all the above terms and conditions.
