Terhi studies how biodiversity loss within grassland plant communities and the subsequent increase in soil pathogen populations in low diversity plant communities affect plant phenotypes, especially defenses and combining ability. Besides studying this as a part of the Jena Experiment she is affiliated to the Project 5.
