Gabriela Schaepman-Strub is the new Scientific Director at Swiss Polar Institute

Gabriela Schaepman-Strub has been involved in the Swiss Polar Institute (SPI) since the creation of the institute including recently serving as the Chair on the SPI Science and Technology Advisory Board. Gabriela was elected as SPI Scientific Director for a term of four years.
Gabriela Schaepman-Strub is specialised in Arctic biodiversity and ecosystem functions, applying experiments, modelling, and remote sensing. Gabriela has represented Switzerland in many international working groups on polar topics and is currently an active member of the Swiss Committee on Polar and High Altitude Research (SKPH).
