Phenology Symposium

Phenology refers to temporal changes in biological phenomena related to climate. Many scientists are studying “phenology” form various perspectives. In this symposium, we aimed to discuss phenologyical studies at various scales, from molecular to biosphere levels. Invited guest speakers from Japan, US and Basel and members of the URPP GCB presented their research on the topic. We also held a demonstration on the functioning of “phenocam”, which we will install to each URPP GCB field site for phenology observation. We hope this symposium will motivate new interdisciplinary collaborations in the near future.
